Sick Day and a semi-homemade pizza recipe

This stupid cold kept me home from work yesterday!  I hate to call in sick but was feeling pretty miserable so it seemed worth it.  I had this lovely glass of Airborne in an effort to fight off the cold…

…and these guys have been my best friends.  The tissues are WONDERFUL!  They have Vicks’ vaporub in them which feels amazing especially after blowing my nose for the millionth time.

In other news, I finished season 2 of Scandal!  I’ll have to catch up on season 3 soon 🙂

For a quick dinner, my husband and I like to make semi-homemade pizza.  To start, we use Pillsbury Artisan Whole Grain Pizza Crust.

Heat the oven to 400 degrees F, and prebake the crust for 8 minutes.

Then cover crust with pizza sauce (we used store brought for convenience).

Then add toppings:  cheddar cheese and turkey pepperoni were our toppings of choice last night
so hubby could eat quickly before heading to his bowling league.  Finally, bake for another 8 minutes and VOILA!

We enjoyed it with a salad with balsamic vinaigrette, sprinkled with almonds and blackberries…YUM!
